Association Prokopyevskugol
SBU Holding guided the coal company Association Prokopievskugol in accordance to the Kemerovo State Administration proposal in April, 2007. The Prokopyevsk mines were put into operation 50-80 years ago, producing high-quality coking coal in severe mining and geological conditions.
The implementation of the modernization program for improving production of the Prokopyevskugol was appropriated by SBU Holding, i.e. $ 25,4143 million in 2008, and $ 4,9784 million in 2009, and the actual investment for 2010 is $ 21,1916 million.
According to the expansion program the labor productivity is expected to increase up to 49.2 tons per person.
The company’s commercial reserves have 171 mil tons of coal, and 8,425 people are employed in the company.
The structure of the Association Prokopyevskugol also consists of:
- the “Dzerzhinsky” mine (production capacity — 0.88 mil
tons/year)
- the “Ziminka” mine (450,000 tons)
- the “KrasnoGorskaya” mine (0.5 million tons)
- the “Voroshilov” mine (350,000 tons)
All coal is processed in three private enrichment facilities. 2.4 mil tons of coal were carried out by Prokopyevskugol enterprises in 2009 and the same quantity in 2010. Moderate expansion program estimates SBU-Coal and the Association Prokopyevskugol to achieve 30 mil tons of coal production per year.
